About The Program

Macas Home care LLC Diabetes Prevention Program is a CDC-recognized organization working under the guidance of the CDC to deliver nationwide evidence-based lifestyle change programs for adults with prediabetes in order to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.


The National Diabetes Prevention Program is founded on the basis of the science of research studies, which showed that making modest behavioral changes helped people with prediabetes lose 5% to 7% of their body weight and reduced their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58% (71% for people over 60 years old).

We offer the Diabetes Prevention Program in the following platforms: in-person group, distance learning group, online group, or combination group. The program consists of an initial six-month phase offering a minimum of 16 sessions over 16–24 weeks and a second six-month phase offering a minimum of one session a month for at least six sessions.

Our qualified Lifestyle Coaches utilize a CDC-approved curriculum to educate the participants on lifestyle /behavioral modifications to prevent the development of diabetes.


They also engage in direct interaction with the participants with the aim of providing moral support, helping them manage stress, and keep focused on their goals.
